The Time is Now for The Women's Division in WWE

By: Fabrizio Salerno  Twitter @fabriziosa1erno The WWE has been nothing but a progressive brand within the last couple of years when it comes to shining a light on certain subjects around the sports entertainment industry.  The one particular subject was the women's division.  The division that was known as the "bathroom break" at live events has quickly turned the tables and become the main attraction. With fans starting the hashtag #GiveDivasAChance, it changed the WWE landscape forever.  Everything starting a few years back when Stephanie McMahon introduced the "Women's Revolution".  Seeing the success of the US Women's Soccer Team and the talent WWE with its up and coming women, she knew she had something brewing.  This was almost unheard of around the sports world and Stephanie realizing the business women that she is, flipped the switch on the way fans watch WWE.  Introducing fans to the "Four Horseman", a group that consisted o

Two AL Frontrunners Making Moves

By Zane Robidoux Twitter: @zrobidoeee The Red Sox and the Yankees have been two of the best teams in baseball all year. With the trade deadline less than a week away, everyone was beginning to wonder when Cashman and Dombrowski were going to start to make moves. Not to the disappointment of any fans, they delivered. I had covered who I think each team needed to make a trade for in an earlier article , but after the past couple weeks of injuries and performance inconsistency, both teams seemed to have made a much-needed and timely move. Let’s break them down.  Red Sox Acquire SP Nathan Eovaldi for Minor Leaguer Jalen Beeks The trade for Eovaldi could not have possibly come at a better time for the Red Sox. Starting pitchers Eduardo Rodriguez and Steven Wright have both hit the disabled list, and Rodriguez, the Sox number four starter, looks like he’s not going to be returning any time soon.  Even when or if Wright comes back, he’s somewhat of a wild card, and you

New York Mets: A Season That Has Gone From Bad To Worse

By:Fabrizio Salerno  Twitter @fabriziosa1erno The New York Mets going into the season had high hopes and looked at this season as a fresh start and a new chapter for the franchise.  After an injury plagued 2017 campaign, the 2018 MLB season couldn't come any faster for not only Mets fans but for the players and staff involved within the organization.  Now that the 2018 season is at the mid-way point this season is just as bad, if not worse than last year's result. Ending the tenure of Mets Skipper Terry Collins, Mickey Callaway came in and seemed as though he would shake things up in the organization and progress this club into a playoff berth.  He addressed all the holes the team had in the lineup and looked as if he was focused on the task at hand.  Plus, having their pitching staff healthy and aces deGrom and Syndergaard back to full form made the optimism of the season potentially becoming a reality come opening day. Fast forward to where we are today and all the p

NL Mid Season Awards

By Zane Robidoux Twitter: @zrobidoeee In yesterday’s article , the AL MVP and CY Young front runners were discussed. In a continuation of that, we’re going to discuss who the front runners for the awards at mid-season for the National League are, as well as a some end of season predictions for the playoffs.  NL MVP Nolan Arenado  (.312 AVG/23 HR/68 RBI/.395 OBP/.586 SLG/.981 OPS) Arenado is the definition of consistency. Year in and year out he produces at such a high rate at the plate and backs it up with Gold Glove defense at third base. At this point it’s not a matter of  if he wins an MVP, but  when . This season he ranks first in the NL in WAR at 4.1 and second in the NL in home runs, SLG% and OPS. He’s also fourth in RBIs, fifth in OBP and sixth in BA. He’s a machine. What’s been even more impressive is his .330 BA/10 HR/26 RBI over his last 30 games, which ranks barely behind Jesus Aguiliar for productivity over that span.  You could make the a

AL Mid Season Awards

By Zane Robidoux Twitter: @Zrobidoeee With baseballs Midsummer Classic coming to a close, now is as good a time as ever to take a look at who the frontrunners for the MVP and Cy Young awards are. Rookie of the Year won’t be covered in this article, only because it feels like that race has already been decided (AL- Gleyber Torres, NL- Juan Soto). Instead, we’ll focus more on the awards that could go to a multitude of people, all equally deserving. To round the whole MLB out, the NL awards portion will be covered in a second article . Just to finish up my predictions, how the AL will shape up come the postseason can be found here too. Let’s jump in.  AL MVP: Mookie Betts  (.359 AVG/23 HR/53 RBI/.448 OBP/.691 SLG/1.139 OPS) Mookie leads the MLB in BA, SLG %, OPS and OPS+, is second in the AL in runs and OBP, and is third in the MLB in WAR at 6.3. After being the MVP runner up to Mike Trout two years back and following that up with a solid 2017 campaign, Mookie

A push for Bobby Lashley is needed now more than ever

By: Fabrizio Salerno Twitter @fabriziosa1erno  When Bobby Lashley returned to the WWE, it was a monumental moment for the whole WWE Universe.  Another Power house star has arrived and can potentially take our eyes away from Roman Reigns.  Though Roman is a great performer and superstar, the WWE creative is always forcing him to be in the biggest matches and that doesn't go well with the WWE Universe. Now that Bobby came back to dominate and set his eyes on the ultimate prize of becoming a Universal Champion, it wasn't going to be an easy climb up the mountain.  You have experienced superstars that are also worthy for a match like Seth Rollins, Elias, Finn Balor and you guessed it Roman Reigns.  All these superstars have the track record and the faith of the WWE Universe to become a worthy champion and dethrone the current champion Brock Lesnar. Now it has been a couple of months since Lashley made his return and though his matches were pretty much all mid card at bes

Will Tebow Be A Big Leaguer By Year's End?

By Tommy Gahan @tgahan9 You might have heard of a man named Tim Tebow, Heisman winner, National Champion, First Round Pick in the NFL draft but now, somehow, a minor league baseball player. Yes, the 30 year old's transition back to the National Pastime was mocked by many (he had last played the sport in High School before this). Most viewed the New York Mets' acquisition of Tebow as a prospect was an easy cash grab publicity stunt, and perhaps it was. However, Tim packs the fans into small Bush League ballparks readily and his baseball abilities have improved enough for him to have an all star season in Double A Birmingham. So, with the Major League Mets having a sour season in Queens, will Tim get his shot by the end of 2018? No, he probably is not big league material, but the money generated by a bonafide superstar celebrity like Tebow would probably be worth it in the context of a lost season for New York's National League beacon. It is yet to be seen if the Christ

2018 All Star Snubs

By Zane Robidoux Twitter: @zrobidoeee Every year the All-Star rosters are released, and every year a group of very deserving players are left off those rosters. Of course, not every deserving player can make the team. There are only so many spots, and even if they should be on the team, there just isn’t enough room for everybody. However, this year in particular seems a bit more outrageous than years past. Because of the league’s rule that every team needs to have one All-Star, it gives some players the chance to make the team that are a bit less deserving than others. Eventually, due to injuries and other replacements, many of the names listed will make the All-Star rosters, but for now, they’re still snubs. So, here’s your 2018 All-Star snub breakdown.  Biggest Overall Snubs: AL – Blake Snell (Tampa Bay Rays) This one seems particularly strange. Snell leads the AL in ERA (2.09), is tied for second with 12 wins, and is tied for third in opponent’s average (.1

Has The Home Run Derby Lost Its Touch?

By: Fabrizio Salerno Twitter @fabriziosa1erno The MLB All-Star Game is fast approaching, which means baseball fans can rejoice and enjoy the stars of the game playing at the highest level. MLB’s All Star Game, compared to the NBA All-Star Game and the NFL’s Pro Bowl,  is the most competitive. The players never take plays off and the matchups between pitchers and batters are an MLB fans' dream come true. Besides the big game, the festivities leading up to it were what viewers always tuned-in to see, but it looks like the players aren’t willing to compete in these activities this year. The Home Run Derby is every kid's dream, seeing the game’s biggest and strongest stars smashing home runs 400+ feet over the fence into a roaring crowd. From the days of Josh Hamilton and Justin Morneau going at each other in the 2008 Home Run Derby at the old Yankees Stadium to today’s stars like Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, all past participants in the H
